  1. July 2025 - Present

    Security Operations Manager

    CryptoGen Nepal, Kathmandu, Nepal

    I run the SOC: the people, the technology roadmap, and the service our clients depend on around the clock.

    • Own SOC strategy, staffing and client SLAs end to end.
    • First escalation point for critical incidents, including crisis communication with client leadership.
    • Choose and integrate the SIEM, SOAR and threat intelligence platforms the team works with.
    • Explain SOC performance to client executives in plain business terms.
    • Build career paths and training plans for analysts and team leads.

  2. January 2024 - July 2025

    SOC Team Lead

    CryptoGen Nepal, Kathmandu, Nepal

    Led the analyst team day to day: investigations, escalations, and the processes that keep a 24/7 operation consistent.

    • Supervised daily SOC operations and incident escalations.
    • Wrote and maintained the SOC's policies and procedures.
    • Tested security monitoring products against real detection use cases.
    • Technical escalation point for clients and vendors on high-priority incidents.
    • Ran training exercises and simulations to keep the team sharp.

  3. November 2019 - January 2024

    SOC Analyst

    CryptoGen Nepal, Kathmandu, Nepal

    Four years on a 24/7 shift rotation, monitoring and responding to security events across managed client environments.

    • Monitored and triaged security events around the clock.
    • Investigated incidents and coordinated resolution across teams.
    • Kept SIEM platforms tuned and fed with current threat intelligence.
    • Ran vulnerability assessments and wrote remediation recommendations.
    • Reported findings and security posture to clients and management.

  4. June 2019 - November 2019

    Cyber Security Analyst

    First role in security: learning monitoring, event analysis and incident triage from the ground up.

    Academic Professor

    KFA, Kathmandu, Nepal

    Teaching cybersecurity alongside industry practice, bringing real SOC scenarios and incidents into the classroom.
